1. What Chunk Locker Does
Chunk Locker creates and opens encrypted ATOM containers. File encryption and decryption are performed on your device. The ATOM format stores encrypted chunks, private metadata, integrity records, and optional padding inside one .atom file.
2. Files and Encryption Secrets
We do not upload or store the files you select, restored file contents, user-entered passwords, generated secure keys, or key-file contents. Password, Generated Secure Key, and Ultra Secure operations remain on your device.
When you use No Password mode, the app sends a random public 16-byte derivation salt to the Chunk Locker backend and receives a per-container derived key. Your file and its plaintext metadata are not sent. This mode requires an internet connection and the Chunk Locker backend to create or open the container.
3. Information We Collect
- Account information: Firebase user ID, email address, display name, profile photo URL, authentication provider, and sign-in state when you create an account or sign in.
- Service information: subscription plan, API keys, request quota, usage count, expiry date, and account timestamps.
- Security and network information: an IP-derived hash, minute-based rate-limit counters, request path, response status, and basic diagnostic timing used to prevent abuse and operate the service.
- Local preferences: language and selected save location stored on your device.
- Advertising information: the Android app uses Unity Ads, which may process advertising identifiers, device and network information, approximate location inferred from IP, consent choices, and ad views or interactions.
4. Device Permissions
The Android app may request storage or media access so you can choose input files and save output files. These permissions are not used to scan unrelated files. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, or precise location access.
5. How We Use Information
We use collected information to authenticate users, provide plans and API access, enforce quotas, prevent fraud and abuse, deliver and measure ads, remember settings, provide support, and maintain service reliability and security. Mr. Atom does not sell your personal information.
6. Service Providers and Sharing
Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to operate Chunk Locker:
- Google Firebase for authentication and related platform services.
- Cloudflare for backend hosting, database services, network security, and delivery.
- Unity Ads and its advertising partners for ads in the Android app.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
7. Retention
Account, plan, API-key, and quota records are kept while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, support, legal, and accounting purposes. Rate-limit records are temporary and periodically deleted. Files and ATOM containers saved on your device remain under your control. Third-party providers apply their own retention rules.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your Chunk Locker account data. To request account and associated service-data deletion, contact @mratom_619 on Telegram. We may need to verify account ownership. Verified requests are handled as required by applicable law, subject to records we must retain for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
You can manage ad personalization through your device privacy settings and the privacy controls shown by Unity Ads. You can use Password, Generated Secure Key, or Ultra Secure mode instead of No Password mode when you do not want backend-derived protection.
9. Security and International Processing
We use HTTPS, authenticated encryption for ATOM files, access controls, rate limiting, and restricted backend secrets. No system can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
10. Children
Chunk Locker is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion if they believe a child provided information.
11. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
